We would like to ask the threads in our tapestry to help us weave a carpet wide enough to hold the bramble and the bushes, the small and the slow and the unspectacular.
For twenty-nine years, Flutgraben has carried itself, made and kept, year after year, on the labour, work and action of the people inside it.
In a world whose pain was not introduced to all of us, we still easily recognize it when we witness human dignity violated. We have also watched together how this city loses the rooms where culture is made, not only shown.
For us, this house that refuses to stop seeing is dear to our hearts.
With the contributions of many cultural workers, we keep the doors open, help to shelter the work of those who have no room of their own, and make space for rest and care. It is a solidarity we uphold, but it is harder and harder to be good hosts. Help us keep our hospitality worthy of you.
May the weft be with you!
